1989 Allante owner

Hello everyone, I'm a new member and a new owner of a 1989 Allante. I bought my car from a dealer lot in Frest City NC. I think all the key things work well however there are some small(I think) problems to work out. The drive train seems strong, and the interior is clean. I'm from Dublin, Georgia and i'm in the wholesale exhaust business as a salesman for a six warehouse chain in the SE. I hope to hear from you all soon.

Hello George! I'm sure you will get a lot of enjoyment from your allante. I've had my 1990.5 allante since 1993. One of the 1st things you should get is an factory service manual, it will come through to help you in a # of areas.One of the biggest problems with the car is the bosch 3 brake system. As long as you bleed the system at min. of every other year, it should help prevent this issue for you. Dick H. has a good detailed instr. for this which takes about 20 min. to do. As I doubt if the previous owners have followed this regimine.There are a # of issues that does come up with this car, and someone here will have done that and been through it to help . Good luck.
