The odds finally catch up with me...

On the way to the chiropracter this PM - lonely stretch of 2-way highway through the middle of godforsaken Maurice River Twp, NJ. Posted at 50. Had to blow off three back-markers doing 55 mph, all at once...as I coasted back down about a half mile past them, up over the rise in the oncoming lane is a NJ State Trooper with the in-car radar...

Oops...

Luckily, he only wrote for 61 in a 50 zone...instead of the 81 he clocked me at.

Oh well...ya can't roll the dice forever without crapping out once in a while.

Bummer!! During Thanksgiving week I was pulled over by a county-mounty outside of Tallahassee Florida. He clocked me at 86 in a 55...oops. Anyhow, I must have looked pitiful enough because he just gave me a warning.

I should have bought a lotto ticket that day.

Eh, 61 in a 55 isn't that bad. No misdemeanor, take your traffic school and be done with it. Tickets aren't really all that bad unless you get them over and over...or if you get an exhibition of speed, like I did!

Yeah that does suck. It's so costly now a days to get a speeding ticket.

Not in ohio though mom got a speeding ticket for going 88 in a 65 area for around $70, in PA its at least over $100.

Same here, was in an accident but didn't get a ticket for it

Huh...the CHEAPEST ticket I ever got was 71 in a 55...cost me damned near four hundred bucks, before traffic school. Consider yourselves damned lucky its so cheap...and i didn't even worry about it becaue they allowed traffic school. I just kinda figure its one of the perks of having too much fun!

I was in a pack of 20 or so when my buddy's brother was in a truck video taping us on 480 doing some stupid stuff. Cops pulled him over and everyone in sight split!
Thought we all got away until cops came to three of my buddies houses and summons them to court. 2 got 2 months and one got lippy and got 3 plus 5 years probation and lost their licenses for 5 years. They were always racing and getting tickets and stuff but damn! What an unexpected knock at the door!

Not sure what the $$ amount will be but it's 2 points for me. May also hike the insurance, not sure...maybe they'll balance 37 years of spotless driving against it, maybe not..

Sorry for the ticket...but you are damn lucky he reduced it for you on the spot!

I would plead not guilty and either plea bargin or ask the judge for no points (but more $$ obviously

I have had a lot of tickets over the years. 37 moving violations since 1984 (yeah, I'm old). However, only one wreck - I was stationary at a stoplight and was rear-ended. Yes, my insurance sucks
