Any Slingbox Users?

My son, on his way to work as a contractor in the middle east, is thinking about buying a Slingbox and having it shipped to me. He wants to be able to watch local sports from over there. Does anyone have one and how well does it work? TIA

I'm telling you one thing I am suprised I havent gotten one yet but I was waiting for the better models. I am going to buy a slingbox pro soon.
I have seen them in action and it really depends of the device recieving the info. A good laptop it works pretty darn well. On a treo or a handheld pda its good enough for commutes or waiting rooms and stuff like that. I say for the price its hard to beat. The only problem is it will take over the home TV signal. Now if you got a couple lines coming in like most do its well worth the price I think.

I have a question about it too. How fast does your internet connection have to be to see the tv "good" over the internet from the slingbox?
