All I wanted was a oil change, now I would like some body work too. Hey a new way to upsell the customer.
Must be fun trying to get them out of that mess. Maybe they should have a jack down there to get them out.

lol we had a problem with that at my work, long, long ago, so we redesigned the lifts like 20 years ago.

Well to be honest, you can't sue anyone. It's the customer's fault. He's the one that drove it over the pit.

Oh, the customer was driving? I thought usually the mechanic drives the cars in for that reason.

i call bs, he looks like he accelerated into the pit at a much faster rate than anyone would accelerate into a garage

I took my Caddy in for an alignment few months ago. I'm pretty sure the mechanic didn't think I was there, he was having some fun with my big block in the parking lot before he drove it into the garage. Nothing too serious, but you dont need full throttle to drive into a garage. Mechanics aren't to be trusted.

Reminds me of the time when the cable snapped on my coworkers lift. Only one side caught on the stop, the other side fell the 6 or so inches to the stop lower. He was very lucky that he put wooden blocks on the arms to hold the car. If he didn't, that car would've slipped and those arms on that side would've been through the side of the car... Just about all of the employees had to help with getting the car down, took about 3 hours. After that, we had to replace the cable on the lift... We did the oil change for that car on a different lift afterwards. lol.

Damn! That's an expensive oil change after the insurance deductable!

A friend of mine is a paraplegic and he has hand controls in his car. The attendant took his car to start it thru the automated Red Carpet Car Wash bay. He lost control and ended up running it into the bay wall.
