I figure at least Sypder will appreciate this. I finally bought my first
first precision rifle yesterday. It's a FN A1 special police rifle. It has a fully floated bull barrell and a McMillian fiberglass stock...so it's glass bedded. It rests on a Harris bipod. And it's topped with a Leupold VX III 6.5-20 x 30mm with a varmint reticle.
What does all this nonsense mean? Right out of the box, shelf ammo (168 gr Federal gold match ammo), with a slightly warm barrell after break-in, it shoots .45 inch 3 shot groups at 100 yards.
Nevermind the hold in the upper right....it was fired by a range buddy from another rifle. And sorry for the blurry pic.
THis is my rifle this is my gun....
The nasty end...
7.62 Nato round on left vs the 5.56 round on the right. The new evil looking black riflele shoots the BIG ones on the left.
