I agree. I enjoy my CB for that reason.
Once, a long time ago before radar detectors, I was roaring down the highway in my 68 Firebird convertible and this trucker moved to block me from passing him. It turned out that there was a smokie just over the rise. This guy probably saved me from a ticket. I waved to thank him.

Yeah, I always give them a quick wave when I pass them on the open highway.
