Actually though if you think about it its NOT THAT BAD of an idea. Its kinda like autopsies on people that's how we know how many people die from what maladies. With cars we could accumulate significant data as to what type of conditions caused fatal car accidents, how fast people really do drive, etc. We would know on an industry wide basis what safety apparatus works, adn what additional needs we have to make cars safer. |

One of the routes I take to work has recently installed poles with devices that look like big transponders. Every 2nd or third pole also has a camera. I've gotten to the point I remove the batteries from my SunPass traffic toll device so I can't be tracked. I believe these transponders could be part of the system your link points to.
The information could be used to track lots of things - how far you drive what time of day - Should you be out at 3 am, what are you doing kinda questions arise, big brother wants to know. |
