Good morning from Maryland's Eastern Shore. Grew up near DC, raced an MG, Austin Healey, Jag XK140MC, built Ford flatheads, including V8 60's and 85's from the late '30's. Went through a couple of mid-late 60's Chevelles and GTO's. Raced motorcycles for Triumph in late '60's. Spent 24 years on submarine duty, then skippered a research ship for Johns Hopkins. My wife and I own a 1970 Chesapeake Bay-built deadrise (crab/fish boat) converted to cruiser. I built and tricked a 1970 Olds 455 marine conversion in '98, bolted up the Velvet Drive, dropped it in, and going strong after 1700 hours. Have another 455 wrapped up in the garage. Plenty of parts around 'cause the engines were the favorite bulletproof workhorse of the '70's. We own a 2004 Ford F150 4X4 Super Cab for hauling mulch and engines

. And.....the Red Rocket, a 2002 Crimson Pearl STS with 31,000 on it. Picked it up used, 8 months ago, from a dealer near Annapolis, MD for less than half the original sticker of $56k+. All GM campaigns accomplished, including the crank sensors. Car came from Villa Marin dealer on Staten Island, bought 7/02. Well cared for, except that damn cabin air filter was a mess when I pulled it out forever. All the best, and may the gas mileage gods smile upon y'all..........Jim
