| OFF TOPIC RE: BROKEN '07 Denali w/ 160 miles Sorry for the off topic post but figured my fellow V owners might be able to help. I purchased a 2007 Denali on the 9th, Traction Control light & message on the way home from dealer. Figured it was my wife pushing all the new buttons. The 10th the car was fine, the 11th... the car was fine on the 13th it happen again we are at just over 100 miles. We left for a road trip and took the V b/c of the issue. Returned on the 17th drove the car to pick up mail and a few other places. I get the following messages: Traction Control Off, Stabilitrak Off, Service Traction Control, Service Stabilitrak and the check engine light comes on. I take it to the dealer and their starting point is: it is the rims and tires we have to reprogram the car. Knowing that was B.S b/c the setup I am running is less than .25 of a inch larger than stock and it happen b4 I swapped them out. In addition they have a Denali on their lot w/ the same setup (no reprogram per one of their service guys). They have now had the car for 3 days with only 160 miles on it. They say parts are on order but they have no delivery date, it could be today or 8 weeks from now “we have no idea.” Do I have any recourse at this point? Has anyone had experience dealing w/ GM on this type of issue? Any advice and/or suggestions would be great… Anyone know of a good forum for GM trucks/SUV’s the few I have found are not as useful as this V forum… |
