Yea, Me and dad saw the original. After that it was like cars became life. Eat,sleep,s**t gears you know. Got a little old school project getting togeather for summer .
Hey, what about MAD MAX. The original Aussi one. It was cool. The John-boy movie was Eat my dust with Ron Howard.
I really like the styling of the second gen. Camaros. Remember the 1980 & 1981 Cowl Induction, pretty cool like the 1970 SS Chevelle.

As for Mad Max, I own all three, and I heard they are making a 4th right now. My fav is Road Warrior. Funny thing about the first Aussie one, it's pretty obvious they tried to make it look like it was filmed in the U.S. despite the right-hand drive cars. I remember in HS, everyone said his black supercharged car was a 1973 Mustang, WRONG it was an Australian brand (I cannot remember the name now) and I heard it had an American engine in it?

The 78-81 is my fav year camaro, Not to hot stock. But just drop in the good old 350 with some heavy mods and then hunt your self down some 2.41 gears for the diff and you got one hella top-end machine for freeway flying. Did alot of suspension mods also.
Your right about it not being a mustang, It was a aussi ford product. F'n aussi always get the fun stuff. What you think about the early 80s Maibus?

Geez! So that's why there are no nice Canuk girls left, all you Yanks took their virtues away!! I understand why you would want our women, they are the most beautiful after all!! I like Natasha Henstridge!! (the blonde from "Species") She is from Alberta, and typical of the women up here.

Naw, We got hot women down here. Except that they where for the most part to uptight. People in B.C. just seemed alot more laid back and fun . Like when I was in Germany . To many people here just to wound up.

I don't know about the Malibu's, they just don't excite me (like Natasha ) I find the interiors kinda boring, but they are light, and there are a tonne of mods for the 350 that make it a killer sleeper in disguise. My dad has a minty 1979 light brown Nova "Custom" but alas, it is a 4 door. :disappoin He has had a lot of people ask him about it as he really takes good care of all his cars, and I bet if it was a 2 door, it would tripple the value. Smokey and the Bandit got me into the Trans Ams, and I always wanted one. Another guy I worked with (late 80's) used to have an early 1970's Camaro with a 327 (not original) and he would go out at dinnertime when we were at work, floor-it, and the front end would be exactly where the back bumper was! That 327 sure could rev! And I've still never heard an engine scream like a woman before, and I prob never will again!

There must be something to that, because my buddy from China says they were going to originally move to the States, but everyone is "rushed" or "always in a hurry?" Oh well, just buy a Canuk chick a case of Molson Canadian, and a pack of DuMauriers and they are yours forever.

I think we were supposed to be talkin' about movies or something on this thread, I think we kinda hijacked it, oops.

Re: Car Chases

Bleh, the gen 2 camaro's? No thanks. I'll take the gen 3 Irocs styling, or a gen 1 Camaro. Gen 2 is ok, but definately not as nice looking as gen 1 and 3. But, YMMV.
