But the average Joe doesn't need that, 10-12 is more than enough. Then there's pixel density in relation to sensor size and ISO performance, but that's another argument for another day. | Huge megapixels are less of an issue to the fashion pros except when they are trying to trim the cost of 'air brushing' Oh, I'm sorry, I meant 'photoshopping' for the younger crowd. |

I have yet to see a digital photo with superior quality results. |

Here's the question, who shot the photos that you were using for a comparison. I'm sure the fact that there are pro's who have gone exclusively to digital might be an indicator that's film is always better than digital is 100% true. Each has their advantages. |

Not that i need a new speedlite, I really just need to get a good lens or two.. | The 580EX II has:
-Weathersealing
-20% faster recycle time (and completely silent)
-Better build quality (finally a non-flimsy battery door) |

To be fair, I don't use it a TON and I bought the film camera and lens years ago when I was still in school. I have the original (plastic) lens that came with my EOS Rebel G (35-80 zoom?) and a Tamron which is a 28-300 Zoom lens. The Tamron is versatile and does work good, but it's a little slow so it's hard to really limit the depth of field in a shot. Next on the list for lenses will be something nice and fast, and EF-S Canon. |

The HD movie shooting could be interesting, especially the great depth of field effects we'll be able to do compared to normal camcorders.
And for Canon peeps, there is now a Canon 18-200mm IS lens, just like we Nikon types have been using for a while (and my favourite lens due to coverage, the perfect all-in-one travel lens). |

I like the saturation. Did you boost it in software? |

From what I see in light room history, I just tweaked contrast and brightness, as well as did some localized exposure adjustments. |
