I used to love that show! Hunter drove a 1978 Dodge Monaco in that show and I know this because I had one in HS.

Then again, they also were the most popular police car in Dukes of Hazzard.

Back on the original topic...

I just saw one of those ads and it was horrible - awkward dialogue and bad timing. They said it tested well with audiences. Right.

It was pretty bad, those two have ZERO chemistry.

On the plus side the discounts look pretty good.

Re: Detroit Legend Iacocca Returns as the Voice of Chrysler

The ads are definately akward, and I'll second the zero chemistry thing. I have to laugh when I see them though, because they make no mention of Chrysler's large line of fuel-efficient vehicles (right.......) whereas GM is actually promoting the fact they have how many vehicles that get 30 mph highway or something? Wow! I'm so impressed that they have 12 vehicles that do well in front crash tests. Know what? I'll bet my 90 Brougham does alright too. Ford and Chrysler are getting their asses handed to them right now in sales so they threw this commercial together to say their feelings were getting hurt because people didn't mind getting GM's employee discount.

Re: Detroit Legend Iacocca Returns as the Voice of Chrysler

Yea, and you know I was really hoping Iacocca would have a more commanding presence. Instead he really seems to be just sitting there along for the ride. Another thing is Ford and Chrysler's discount programs are picky, whereas GM's is more broad. For example, Chryslers program excludes ALL SRT vehicles, well what else is there right now? If Im not mistaken it also excludes the 300 series cars. Big whoop there aint much left.

Re: Detroit Legend Iacocca Returns as the Voice of Chrysler

Yeah, GM really should be marketing the fact that they have more fuel efficient vehicles than even Toyota (they do don't they? ) I thought they did anyway. Yeah, I'm glad GM is back on top and beating out the others. Who ever thought this Employee Discounts thing would be so huge. Maybe they can use it to get rid of all of those stupid rebates and price their cars normally when it's over....

Cosmo Cramer would be the best spokes person! I also like the guy that was Elians boss. Mr. Petermin? He is on those Progressive Drive insurance commercials.

Ralph I think it was Fox
