Naaa. There's only going to be 500 of them worldwide. You'd be lucky to see one outside of the press or TV.

If Paul Walker had been driving a riced out Honda Fit those would be "cool" too. It makes no difference, fanboys will be fanboys.
And personally, the GTR we have now is hideous. In person or in photograph, I can't find one thing I like about it. The R34 was nice, but it's been done to death, and I hear it doesn't really drive like a car, more like a videogame type thing where it will correct your mistakes for you, in a way.
What's the fun in that? |

What's the fun in that? | The fun is going around a track as with your foot welded to the floor constantly...or driving hard around a dirt covered turn, and not having the back end up in a ditch... Sure its boring and makes up for youre shitty driving, but an average joe will be faster around practically any track in a GTR then they will be in any Vette...its that easy to drive hard... If you cant see the fun in that... |

I could, but I would rather learn to drive properly than get in a GTR, think I was the shit, then get into like, a Z06 or 458 Italia and wreck the car because I found out I had no idea what I was actually doing. |

But yeah. I would love to someday go to a proper driving school. It's on my 'things to do before i turn 30' list. lol |

What's the fun in that? | Oh stop it. You, me, and everyone on this forum would piss themselves if they got to drive a GTR on a track, or even on the highway.
I got to see one at Bill Ray Nissan in Longwood when i had to get an OEM part for my Altima. Salesman said i could drive it if my credit was good enough...last time i checked it was a 637. No dice. |

Don't get me wrong, if someone went up to me and said "Hey, want to take this for a few laps?" I wouldn't say no; it's just that if I had the choice of what vehicle to do it with, it would be pretty far down the list. |

I saw one a few months ago and freaked out because I had never seen one and I knew what it was. My mom was sitting next to me and said "How did you know what was a GT-R?" To be honest I don't think you could really mix up a GT-R with anything else on the road. Plus, it was in boring white metallic so it wasn't as noticeable as the red one above.
I like it a weird sort of way. It doesn't have the elegance of a Porsche 911 or the classic lines of a Corvette, but you see those everyday so the GT-R is really in a class all by itself. |

More proof that an extra $300,000 of fancy carbon pillars and computer nannies still can't beat a huge stinkin' V8 with a blower strapped to it.

I like the look but I don't think Lexus or Toyota are super car names and someone would really have to show me the numbers proving that this thing can be in that class or car.
Did anyone watch the CTS-V challenge? The proof is in the numbers

But rather, their beauty lies in the depth of engineering, reliability, and ease of ownership. Quote:

If Cadillac made a $400,000 car, even with production of 500, it would get laughed off the market. But Lexus doing so? It'd probably work and that's what pisses me off.

He touches 11.70's at the Track, not enough to Scare most Vettes, Cobra's and F-bodies around here, well at least the guys I race with.
None of our cars our stock of course, but he was a bit embarrassed when a certain daily driven WS6 beat him to the end of the 1320.
What does he say "You can't do that one road course"
What did I say "You are right, be we are not on road course right now"
Away he went. |
