Active Duty, Retired and Veterans receive thanks from Applebee's

Remove this ad
On Wednesday, November 11th, Applebee's will again offer a free meal to serving military personnel, retirees and military and naval veterans. Serving personnel and retirees just need their I.D.s veterans can get by with a picture of themselves in uniform.

The nearest Applebee's is 360 miles away. So much for that idea.

I don't hardly look the same as when I wore the uniform.

I need to see if they are participating here.

Semper Fi

Me in front of my H2 750 at MCAS El Toro. I crashed it at a drag strip at 114MPH after I got of the service.

Re: Active Duty, Retired and Veterans receive thanks from Applebee's

^ When I was an enlisted man, people used to mistake me for a real Soldier all the time. Now as an officer, there are insignia on my uniform that say "R.O.T.C." so it doesn't happen very often. Still, it made me feel cool to have people roll down their windows to say thank you.

Looks like it is franchise wide
http://www.applebees.com/vetsday/

The menu looks good but I've sent my food back twice at the local restaurant.

That used to happen to me when I was a CAP cadet. It is a good feeling, isn't it?
