user review.
I have owned this small bamboo tablet for all over 3 hours now, at first it was a pain and confused the hell out of me for a bit.. and accidently clicking on things i didnt want too, any way the whole hovering pen thing is cool, you can hold the pen about a half inch above the tablet and it is used as a mouse.. now the pen has no batteries but it has two buttons which i assume work much like the watches with no batteries ( on shaking and stuff to generate power).... it has a virtuial eraser on the other end as well.

having used it a bit more it makes life pretty good, i can flik the pen and i can scroll from the top to the bottom with the flick of the pen,, double tap. everything. and it does hand writing recognition as well..... as a matter a fast i have hand written this whole user review and it converts my letters to a typed letter!!!!... even with poor writing( like i demonstrated in the picture) it can still make out my letters!!!
it is great for cad, and photo editing as well!!!!
and it has a scrool button on the top like a IPOD button set, and you can choose what you want the buttons to do.

it is easy to use once you get the hang of it!! fantastic product.. and its only like 60 bucks... here is a link to the website .

Re: i just bought a new tablet for my PC

I've played with them at the big box stores and have thought they'd be nice to have for my work computer when I'm taking meeting notes or making rough sketches of machines/concepts, but haven't bothered to ask IT as it'll have to go through corporate as its "non standard" hardware and that'll take months for them to say no. Don't think I would use it enough on my personal computers to justify it.

Re: i just bought a new tablet for my PC

They take a little getting used to , but once you have one you'd be at a loss without it.
I was skeptical at first, but my old boss challenged me to draw a circle with a mouse vs his tablet, and to try and paint in some areas of a line drawing again using a mouse vs the tablet. My accuracy was a lot higher with the tablet.

Personally I've never gotten used to using one to navigate around menus and stuff, I prefer keyboard shortcuts or even a mouse, but that's only because I never really tried very hard to learn.

I have a Wacom Graphire A5 but if I was buying again today I'd have gone with the Bamboo too.
I'd like a larger tablet for even greater accuracy, but I can/t justify the cost, even thought I do use it a lot for touching up my photos...
