I miss the E46 convertible, but that wasn't sold. An old lady t-boned it. |

At the same time I sold the Q, I also had a Honda S2000 for about 2 years. It was the perfect car for my commute up and down Pacific Coast Hwy. But with the Q gone, the s2k eventually started to make less sense as my only car, especially when I finally moved out of my parents' house to a place where I couldn't commute on the open stretches of PCH anymore I ended up getting an Acura TL, which turned out to be a guardian angel in disguise, since it sacrificed itself 3 months later in a rear-end collision sandwiched between 2 full-size SUV's The TL was replaced by the Caddy and the rest is history |

Did not sell it but had it stored on a "friends" property. His parents died and the state cleared the property and he "forgot" to notify me.
My 1964 Pontiac Tempest which I bought for $600 in 1983. I put a chevy 350 in it and a turbo 350. Fast, fun and today worth a lot of $$$$ for the body alone |

Jesda. I wanted a 2006 Infiniti "Q" so bad, but only 366 were sent here (USA)(Only "foreign car I ever would bought, BTW). Only the 2006 had 4-wheel steering and I really really wanted that car in Pearl White, with all the options on it. We had an Infiniti dealer in my town, and he searched & searched and only could find 1 in all of New Jersey and it was a greyish blue and when i called that dealer he had a deposit on it allready.
The "fish" that got away! What a beautiful car. So, I kept my 2003 Town Car. I still love it. |

If the Q was a more reliable car, I'd love to add one into my stable at some point. Too bad it's hard to find a nice one nowadays.... I had a blast driving your '90. That thing was an incredible driver's machine, but I didn't like how firm the seats were and how the power came on like it was on an on/off switch. There was nothing until about 4,000 rpm, then it was like Hades' gates opened up and the power unfurled like the Niagara falls. |

Its like they've all come out of hiding. Lots of young guys driving them too. Right now, however, the 2003 M45 is my Infiniti of choice. Same features and interior as the Q (but smaller with cheaper leather), same power. Just get an engine warranty since they're prone to some issues and you're good to go. |

The whole design was far less prone to failure (though it does happen). I've heard of the nozzles on the old ones clogging as well as the potting material wearing through due to ethanol. 94-96 also had softer, wider seats.
Around town, I do prefer the Cadillac 4.9s instant availability of power, but it doesn't scream to 140mph+ like the Q45. Qs love Montana! |

Anyway, I've never sold a car - I like all my cars and it would be the fear of regret that prevents me from selling. But I guess that also prevents me from buying anything new. I'll be one of those people who needs an entire ranch to retire on to keep all my cars... |

Your Q45 and that '93 STS I drove were the most fun sedans I've ever driven. The steering was so precise, the power was so plentiful, they both handled so good..... LOVE those cars. |

It was a CPO vehicle from Infiniti of Lisle with the 100K warranty, but no major problems. New pads/rotors at 65K miles, serpentine belt, and synthetic fluid changes are the only items we paid for out of pocket. The few warranty items were electronic: power trunk pull down, fuel gauge, and memory seats. You should have come over while you were in Chicago to see it... it is Garnet Fire Metallic, supposedly one of the rare colors for that body. As for the engine.. Rock Solid! Does not burn a drop of oil and it has 73K miles on it now!

In February of 1965 I ordered a new Chevelle Malibu SS 327/350hp, 4 speed, 3.31 posi, HD suspension, brakes, cooling, battery, transistor ignition (!), 7.75/14 tires, P/S and A/C delete, tinted glass in Emerald Green Metallic with a Camel interior. Sticker price was $2,665 (I have the sticker). Was delivered in June of 1965 and drove it for 6 years. A real sleeper/screamer. Had to use AirLift bags to keep the rear wheels from hopping. Sold it for a later GTO down payment. Big mistake. If I still had it, it would be worth a fortune. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
