Cadillac(s): None | | Join Date: Dec 2002 Location: West Palm Beach, Florida Age: 38 | | | Cadillac's Greatest Moments (Picture Thread) I'd like to start a thread showcasing all the greatest vehicles Cadillac has had from the beginning until now. Please take a moment to post a picture (or a few pictures) of the Cadillac vehicle that impresses you most. The picture should be of high quality (no thumbnails) and should be an impressive photograph of the vehicle. For example, if you like the 1977 Fleetwood Talisman, please make sure you post a GOOD, clear picture of the car.
Thank you...

Not only a styling masterpiece, but an innovative FWD drivetrain (OK, Oldsmobile pioneered it, but Cadillac was smart to use it) and Cadillac's most advanced, refined engine to date (which is why I picked the '68 Eldorado over the original FWD Eldo in 1967).

Well I can't do just one, but I'll do modern and classic.
Modern:
1998-03 Cadillac Seville STS. It was the flagship sedan with everything rolled into one. Power, performance, stunning beauty, all of the luxury features.
Since Gary already nominated the '68 Eldorado, which is one of my favorites, I'll throw in the '57-'58 Eldorado Brougham. What made this one so great was the rarity, the cost and the truly superior amount of luxury items in it. It was the most expensive car made in 1957...moreso than the Rolls Royces of it's era.
Classic:

1998-2003 Cadillac Seville STS
I know it's already been mentioned 1000x before, but the Seville STS represents a technological marvel on so many levels. Unfortunately the car never got the respect it deserved simply because "It's a Cadillac" or they all just say "It's FWD". For a 2 ton, FWD vehicle this thing handles pretty damn well. I have always appreciated the Seville style, and I still manage to crack a smile everytime I drive it. Seville's and Northstar do have their multitude of issues, but I'd rather pay to fix mine than make monthly payments on a newer STS. |
