^I'll have to check out Das Boot. Downfall is probably my favorite foreign film, its about Hitler's last days in the Berlin bunker.

get the real 5-hour version. Its probably the most realistic sub movie I've ever seen. 10000x Better then that god-awful U-571.

Re: What's the Best Movie You've Ever Seen?

Hard to say (seeing as there are so many genres, which translates into the mood I'm feeling) but my pick would probably be something with Bogart in it.

The Gibraltar sequence is a true test of your home theater system. If you have clean speakers and a good sub (read: crisp, and not turned up too loud) then that sequence is breathtaking. Awesome sound. Pretty good rest of the flick, too.

Re: What's the Best Movie You've Ever Seen?

Well of recent I would say 'Taken', but of all time it would have to be 'Goodfellas'.

My Favorites

Billy Madison- Probably one of Adam Sandler's best, I can quote that whole movie its ridiculous
Casablanca- total sappy love story "We'll always have Paris"
Godfather I & II- I'm obsessed with gangster and mafia movies
Scarface- as quoted before "Say hello to my little friend!!"
Goodfellas- loved Deniro in that movie
Blue Brothers and Rookie of the Year- favorite Chicago Movies
White Heat- I love James Cagney "I'm on top of the world Ma!!!"
Bullitt- favorite car chase
Kiss Me Deadly- old 50s caddys/vettes with a sci-fi twist

Last edited by CadillacGurl; 03-07-09 at 06:31 PM. Reason: forgot Bullitt!!
