I just read where Yugo is shutting down, a footnote joke was, why does a Yugo have a rear defroster,to keep your hands warm while pushing it.

Oh, Yugo. True, they were only in the U.S. for a short period of time, but they continued making cars...they just didn't come to the States.

If I remember correctly Yugo bought all the factory machinery from FIAT
and reproduced them under the yugo name,anyone else remember this?.

With gas prices now it would triple the prices,it was lada (russian) that bought the FIAT stuff.
