Um, it doesn't look ANYTHING like the concept. What a surprise. http://blogs.thecarconnection.com/bl...terstitialskip

Way to go, GM. You ALMOST had a winner there.

Re: Production Chevy Volt Pics Released by Accident

The looks are pretty secondary on this car to how it functions. I'll settle for bland if it really means I never have to buy gas again (daily commute is just under 40 miles). That's an annual income increase of 3-4 grand.

Re: Production Chevy Volt Pics Released by Accident

I'm sure the price of the car will quickly offset any potential fuel-cost savings.

Looks better than any other compact sedan Chevy has put out.....ever. It sorta reminds me of an americanized version of the current Civic. And that's a good thing.

That depends...

-Government subsidies (tax incentives)
-Fuel cost (if it rises)
-Comparison to current car payment

If you're spending $35k on transit already, you're probably replacing a CTS or G35 with this because you're into the technology, or because you wish to convey smugness. So if you can afford it, it simply replaces what you already pay for your vehicle, minus fuel cost.

Its definitely not an economy car at this point though, not yet. Its a rolling iPod.

Re: Production Chevy Volt Pics Released by Accident

It's kinda difficult to see the car behind all the dweebs (gtfo), but the rear looks a little "Aztecy" to me.

agreed. They are giving the driver headroom while making it very aerodynamic and minimizing wind resistance. Not bad.

Re: Production Chevy Volt Pics Released by Accident

Wow, GM really screwed this design! As it stands it resembles a present gen Civic just a little to much. I was planning to have one of these, but I have taste as well... I would have sold my family for the concept.

Re: Production Chevy Volt Pics Released by Accident

I think it actually looks better than the concept. The way the c-pillar flowed into the rear fender looks odd to me.

Re: Production Chevy Volt Pics Released by Accident

Actually it looks like a Honda. If it was a Toyota it would have big roundish headlights and inexplicable bulges. I happen to like the new Civic.

Re: Production Chevy Volt Pics Released by Accident

I think it looks like ass...or the offspring of a Cobalt and a Yaris.... Blech....

The concept was original, futuristic, and looked like something more than an economy car.

EPIC fail!
