Then again, Covington PD was in the area, and I didn't want to deal with them. I'd say that it does have that 6-speed, though. Anyone feel like stomping some Rustangs? |

In that way, both cars stick to their design heritage. The new Challenger, though, stays the more faithful of the two. |

The 1968-70 Charger was probably the best looking muscle car, ever.

You'll notice that the Euro cars Hi Po series of Audi, BMW & Mercedes as well as Jaguar are also all 4-door sedans, as well. A Charger can wear many faces. It can be outfitted into a luxury car, a low priced sedan, a Taxi, or a muscle car. Remember that the underpinings of the original Chargers were also shared with the intermediate Dodge Coronet that later was renamed the Monaco, when the Monaco became the Monaco Royal. Only the body was different, between the Coronet & the Charger. Recall the Coronet Super Bee? R/T? Same car, different body design to the original 1968-1970 Charger. |

The offered Charger coupes never sold well and were discontinued.
As Motor Trent stated, "For purists who thought that the Charger should not have had four doors, your coupe has arrived." |
