That was at 25mph, hit a treestump and flipped it.

He sorta walked, had cuts on his face and some stuff. Massive brake failure.

Sorta scary considering i was about to buy that car a week before the fact.

Looks like he's tracked this car too! Sad to see another E36 die...but glad your friend is ok!

Re: my buds M3 - totalled

Agreed. I guess the dealer and him came up to a resolution as the car ended up not having airbags. HE got ripped bigtime. He is in a brand new 350z.

Re: my buds M3 - totalled

More importantly... why would anyone want an *old* M3 in the first place??

Re: my buds M3 - totalled

I would have thought the A pillars would have held up better than that in the "Ultimate Driving Machine"...

All that damage from 25mph? Sh_t why not buy a CV. I think it would've held up better than that.

You beat me to it... Although I can't tell exactly which year it is, so I don't know which engine it has. If it's a later model then it has the updated 3.2 and probably a 6-speed manual, which means performance is at least respectable... if it's an older model, then it has the paltry 3.0L and I wouldn't be surprised if it had an auto as well - those were, well.. a bit less respectable, especially for an "ultimate driving machine."
