Re: Concept Buick Invicta....Oh...My...God...

What is it supposed to replace? Or where is it supposed to go in the lineup?

Re: Concept Buick Invicta....Oh...My...God...

They say it's "the future of luxury" so I'd assume above the Lucerne. Maybe this is the concept Roadmaster we've been hearing about??

It looks like a more bulky version of the Lincoln MKS

Re: Concept Buick Invicta....Oh...My...God...

According to the reports I read it is suppose to replace the La Crosse in the lineup. Interesting use of a molded in version of the late '60s Riviera arrow side molding .

Re: Concept Buick Invicta....Oh...My...God...

its foul.... i just don't like it for some reason, there's something really bulky about the exterior and the interior while nice doesnt match the outside i don't think

They are infinitely better than Lincolns current tail lights.

Guys. This IS the new Lacrosse (yes, finally), aside from a few "concept" details. Name is expected to stay Lacrosse, but MAYBE could change to Invicta. Not sure yet. Will be out rather quickly, too, as a 2010.

And the interior is exactly what production is getting, yes--the center stack is another one of GM's new "integrated" center stacks, and the rest of the look is new Buick. Just like the Enclave was shown as a slightly extra dressed concept before, that's what this is.

And some of the most recent exterior/interior shots:

http://www.thecarconnection.com/blog/?p=1153

This is built off the new Epsilon II platform (replacement for Epsilon I, which is the Malibu, Aura, etc.) that's a tinge wider and can incorporate FWD or AWD easily. Essentially, finally away the ancient W-body Lacrosse and it's weird proportions, lack of room, etc. will go.

This is finally "the Enclave of sedans", a term used ever since the Enclave has been out and just an absolute success and amazing vehicle. All the traits of what Buick is now going to be.

It looks like it has a beak.

Not a fan. I love the interior of the Enclave but I just couldnt look at that grill every time I walk into the garage.

Re: Concept Buick Invicta....Oh...My...God...

Directly from the side, it looks like a chibi version of the 5-series.
