They have to have a decent sized price gap between the two | Back in '94 I bought a pretty loaded new Z28 w/6spd and t tops for $18k. That was half the price of a Vette!. Towards the end of the run they were getting up there in price. GM needs to keep this car competitive with the Mustang in terms of price and offer more performance (which it will). I really liked the styling of the new Camaro in the pics circulating the net but that one in the video just looked a little obtuse to me. I am a fan of every generation of Camaro including the 4rth gen and hope this one doesn't flop.

Part of the reason the F-body stopped selling was no one really knew what there capabilities were for the price.

Everyone that knows cars knew the capabilities of the fbody cars, even the Mustang guys bought Mustangs knowing the fbody cars were faster. What killed the last generation fbody cars IMO ironically was the part I pesonally like best about them: they were too low and the pedals were too far in plus the dash was hard too see out of for shorter people. I'm 6'2", the car fit me well and I had no complaints but I believe the Mustang outsold it for those reasons. The Mustang (94-04) is more comfortable for entry/exit, you sit more upright and have a better view out the window. For performance guys like us, we dont care but GM and Ford both heavily rely on the sale of the V6 models and those buyers were going with the Mustang as well. |

Chevy better drop the LSA in if they want to keep up with that car. I am not a fan of Pony cars (or Fords for that matter) but the GT500 is a beast (although an overpriced one) and IMO the best looking car Ford currently makes. |

Lobe seperation angle? or LSX, because if you mean the LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, LS9, LY6, L76, L92, etc etc, You might as well chuck your V in the trash too, these motors make far better power and get better mileage then the Ford Mod motors (4.6, 5.4). People who think pushrod motors are outdated don't really know how old OHC motors are. The new LSX motors have DOD and VVT and get the job done just fine. |

The plan is for that motor to be used it the SS, well right now anyway. Who know stuff changes daily with cars and rumors. |
