Well, finally got the CTS sold and I am now officially looking for a Corvette. I'll probably get an 05 because I really want a C6. Locally they have very few and are still selling 05s in the mid 40s, I know of places that have sold them in the mid to upper 30s with low mileage and thats about what I am willing to pay. Wish me luck all. |

Specifically on Autotrader, even put in your year, mileage, colors, transmission, price, etc. and see what you find. Should be NO problem at all to find a used C6 at a great deal, now. And always keep an eye on Ebay for cars in various locations, and of course, Cars.com.
And good luck! |

It will give you a great time to bond with your new pride and joy.

And good luck! | I have, nothing much in my area. A few places have them in the mid 40s, but if I wanted to pay that, a local dealership has an 07 for 46,9k. A lot of dealers overcharge in this area. So, I'll have to look further away for a better deal. |

I just did a quick search, and around here you can get an '05 automatic w/ 18,371 miles for $33,987, or an '05 6 speed w/ 9,006 miles for $35,800. |

I know, they are supposed to go for that around here as well, but they don't. Almost everyone around here has them priced from 38-44k. Its ridiculous. Thats why I am having to look further away to get one. Oh well, I have 2 months to find one, if not then I'll settle for a C5. |

I'm about as big on Corvettes as you are big on my S-Class, but I *finally* got to drive (and I mean actually drive) a Corvette yesterday, and I had fun. It was a black/black '03 or '04 Coupe with that optional glass (Targa?) top and the four speed automatic. Wasn't exactly my cup of tea, but man oh man was it fast! Sixty would come up on you in the blink of an eye...it was almost too fast for me, but shit that was fun! Good old fashioned high profile, American made, V-8 powered fun!
Personally, I'd hold out for a C6. To me, and the Corvette diehards may disagree with me, it's like Chevy went 100% on the C6, but only like 85% on the C5. It just looks much better inside and out, is faster, more contemporary looking, and it's got features and amenities the C5 could only dream of. But many C5s out there are much more affordable and are still quite hot.
Well, best of luck to you in your purchase and have fun!

I think its the rear end of the C6 I dont like. It is nicer inside and has more power though. Tough call but I'd rather spend less and get the C5. |

Plus the LS2 and LS3 are great engines. And the interior, I couldn't agree more, I think its great looking. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
