Cadillac Forums: Malibu... ITS ON! 2010 Ford Taurus SPIED
All I can say is WOW. Ford finally got something half right for once when it comes to their bread and butter offerings. I can't really tell, nor does the article say whether this is still the same chassis underneath as the current 500/Taurus, but whatever it is, it looks GOOD. Lets hope they didn't up the rear end like the MKZ and for the love of all that is holy get rid of that damn Taurus moniker.
they brought the taurus name back because the 500 wasnt selling, they saw a 300% increase in sales when they renamed it to the taurus again, people recognize the name and like it....

that looks like a lexus to me...
Im not sure where you picked up that info, but Ive read SEVERAL articles that specifically refute this. The reason people didnt BUY the 500-rus is because they didn't LIKE the car, and because the earlier model had an underpowered engine. The info I have read is completely different, sales were almost completely UNAFFECTED by going back to the Taurus moniker.
Not only that, look what that 1980s throwback did to the Freestyle... (dead soon).
The name change to Taurus was only about a year behind the changeover to the 3.5L V6 if not less. If there's anything warmer sales can be attributed to its a slight redesign and a LARGER more ADEQUATE engine. I'm one of the few people who liked the Five Hundred's overall design since the day it came out, and I much preferred it with the original nameplate than Taurus, regardless of engines or design.
One of my best friends work car is a Taurus. We affectionately refer to it is the CliTaurus.

Not bad for a Fjord. It reminds me of a mix between an ES350, Mondeo and a Hyundai Genesis.
It lacks the Malibu's creativity, but still looks damn good.
Actually, I know EXACTLY what I see in the front end... 2008 Honda Accord Coupe. Which is not a bad thing necessarily, its the accord coupes rear end that is absolutely hideous...
