I'm a newbe from Chicago. I own a 2007 Black Raven Escalade ESV fully loaded with full tint.
I've been a member on the mopar forum srt80c and recently srtconnection. Figured it is about time I signed up over here. I also own a 2006 300c srt8.
It is heavily modded with ported and polished heads kooks ceramic coated longtubes, K&N CAI, high flo cats, 2800 high stall torque converter, and magnaflow catbacks. It is silver and tinted with custom rims for the summer. I just got the air fuel and timing right via a cmr custom tune.
I am really interested in the 2009 cts-v with purported 600 hp supercharged engine and thought I would hang around and get learn some things until it is out. I bought my srt8 from cadillac as well as the ESV and hope they will work with me on the cts-v.
I love the srt8. I also love the V. Just need more hp and would like to build off more than the 6.1 hemi. I understand the 09 has a vicious powerplant.
Haven't had an opportunity to test the srt8 against a V since the mods. Just finished the tuning. I am running the rocketbrand 100 octane unleaded in my race tune and also have a 93 street tune for when the 100 isn't available. Would love to run with some Vs once the weather gets better in Chicago. I understand they are pretty fast with 469 hp and all. I got about 475 rwhp on the c. I just think the fit and finish on the Vs are better. Oh, I forgot to mention the Hotchkis sways and
Dc strubar and brembo cross drilled rotors w braided lines in the suspension dept on my srt8. I do not have KWs. I'm not sure if I want to add more $ to this base or start over with a V
