Steve, if he's stock, he's at a disadvantage, as far as HP is concerned, you've got 40 on him.

A stock Impala SS has a detuned LT1 - It "only" puts out 260HP.... he does have you in torque though with 330lb-ft.

Yeah...you guys are right...I must have been lookng at the torgue #'s anyway, I don't think it is stock...it sounds too nice. Chad, if you want to check his rides out some time let me know....he likes to talk car more than you do!

Also, I wanted to chime in. I drove my buddy's Marauder last night. Not a bad ride actually. One uncomfortable car as far as the seats go, but still not a bad car. I actually would buy one. My preference is still the Impala SS though. It's pretty quick from a roll though. From a dead stop it just doesn't impress me that much. Nice car though.

Hell, my Roadmaster, with the 2.93 gears and posi left like a bat out of hell, atleast out of the hole...I can only imagine what 3:73's would be like.

Lt-1 wagons are generally not beat on...
An LT-1 should not be slow off the line...if it is there are many things that can cause that including the A.I.R. pump.
