This is one of the coolest things I have seen in a while. A FAITHFUL reproduction of both the regular C6 *and* the Z06 in speedboat form, DOWN TO AUTHENTIC GM CRATE POWERPLANTS for aspiration. Of course, there's all that plasticky goodness in the cockpit as well, down to the Original Equipment seats! http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/30/c...ed-to-c6-spec/

Did a search and found this: Quote: |
Originally Posted by boats.com MERCED, Calif. — Malibu Boats has released the Corvette Limited Edition Sport-V tow boat. The V-drive model features many of its namesake's styling cues including the Corvette "Cove" tooled into the hull, authentic Corvette emblems, a power wing windshield, "rear taillight" design used for through-hull ventilation and authentic Corvette rims on the custom trailer.
Among the boat's outstanding features is the Corvette-styled closed bow, which is equipped with a hood that opens to reveal LED lighting, a dual subwoofer high powered stereo system and storage centers.
The helm boasts an authentic Corvette driver's seat that puts everything from the keyless start with security code activation to the Malibu in-dash LCD and two banks of multiplexed switches— and built-in LCD screens— within easy reach. The servo-driven Medallion gauges can be dimmed to three different brightness settings.
All seating is upholstered in 38-ounce Duraguard vinyl with French stitching. Anodized aluminum cup holders, carbon fiber accents, theater-style LED interior lighting are standard. An 8-speaker Malibu-Rockford Fosgate Stereo System is included.
The Corvette Limited Edition Sport-V is available in both Z06 and Coupe packages. The Z06 delivers the same power as the car with 505-hp and 470 foot-pounds of torque from the exclusive LS7 Corvette engine. The powerful 400-hp Hammerhead 383 engine makes its home in the Coupe.
To showcase the engine, the boat is equipped with a clear Lexan door that is visible with the rear storage hatches are open. Lighting the engine compartment after dark are 24 LED lights.
The boat's custom tandem-axle trailer incorporates all the special details that "say Corvette," including official Corvette or Z06 wheels, depending on the model.
The Corvette Limited Edition Sport-V will be sold in limited production through authorized, participating Malibu Boats dealerships throughout North America. |
I want one. |

I wish the photographer wasn't so in love with their zoom lens- there's no good pictures of the boat as a whole. A super duper closeup or two is fine, but staring at shots of exhaust tips and a factory Z06 seat isn't exactly thrilling.
The boat sounds cool and all, but I'd love to see it as if I were standing next to it. |

Of course it's a small speed boat (runabout), silly! |
