Cadillac Forums: What's your favorite soft drink?

I'll agree with Sandy... the worst part of most big-time bottlers is their use of high-fructose corn syrup. It sucks that they sell this crap to us... I know Mexican Coca-Cola still uses cane sugar and I think Canadian Coke does so as well. There was a time when the US grew vast amounts of cane sugar from Hawaii to Texas to meet this country's sugar "fix," but not so much anymore. There's been rumors flying for a while now that they may switch back and if they do I might actually start drinking some again.
For those Dr. Pepper lovers out there... if you want a truly phenomenal Dr. Pepper, then you need to check out this site. It's the oldest Dr. Pepper bottler in the US, it still uses pure cane sugar, AND it still bottles in glass (and cans as well). It's a little more expensive but it's soooo worth it. We usually order a few cases for our big holiday soiree and there's never any left when it's over... it's THAT much better... even I'll split one with the wife every now and then.
Sunofa rotten whore! I was buying a case of cans and a case of bottles. I thought the shipping was $5 per case. That's just packaging.
I'm not paying an additional $41 for UPS GROUND!!! Dammit!

I DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND WHY R/C {ROYAL CROWN COLA} WAS OMITTED, BUT IT IS MY # 1 COMMERCIALLY ACCESSABLE FAV SODA.
However, here in N.J. we have THE best of all. Long before there was Coke or Pepsi or even R/C or Nehi or Hires Root Beer or or or or all the waaaay back to 1891 there was ANOTHER cola, that's still made today.
WARNING: If you find it, you will hate me, as is SOooo hard to find! & like me, you'll crave it !!
Now, imagine you take a normal cola, such as R/C. Okay? DELETE the High Fructose CORN syrup (which is no good for you, anyhow, outta it.) In it's place put PURE Grade "A" Cane Sugar, then delete the ARTIFICIAL coloring and add only natural coloring, then? Then use only natural flavorings and package it only in GLASS, those nice old thick glass bottles with a twist off cap. Certifiy it Parve & Kosher and you have BOYLANS BOTTL WERKS
Pure Cane Natural Cola.
I'll go & fetch the URL and post it. Go to YOUR state to see where it's sold, nearest to you. 4 glass bottle are $4.27

The last time we ordered they also shipped via the USPS which if I remember was cheaper than through UPS. You might want to try giving them a call to see how much it would be to go through the post office.
Has anyone heard of a drink called "Joya" pronounced "hoy-ya"? A Lone Star Ice Station (now unfortunately out-of-business) that I used to go to got in regular shipments of Mexican Coke. But in one case, a stray bottle of this orange-like soda managed to get in. The guy put it in the cooler to sell, and it was the only one he or I ever knew of, at least in America. I bought it, and it was dang near Heaven. I wish I could find some more.
That same ice station also sold French/British bottled water called "Vittel" and that was great too. Though it was a dollar for just 8oz.
Remember when i was maybe 8 or 9 and going to my Dad's dealership and getting the 6oz Coke bottle from the machine for like .10 cents and a hand full of peanuts from the little .05 cent vending mach. Take the first drink then pour the peanuts in bottle.
Damn those were the days.
I remember the mechanics gathering around the Coke machine and placing their dollar on top the machine to bet who would be the furthest from my home town, Crossville, TN to where the bottle was manufactured. Back then they were returnable and the manufacturing plant was indicated on the bottom of the bottle.
The good old days when life was much simpler.
I miss that.
My cousin has that machine in his family room.
Been in the family for over 40+ years and still work's.
I am a Pepsi drinker really. I'll drink most anything but I prefer the taste of Pepsi.
I like Coke too but not as much.
RC is good but hard to find depending on where you are.
I like the cherry .. whatever... every now and then.
I used to drink a 6 pack a day (soft drink) but when the pounds started piling on and my guts started screaming in pain from the sugar and caffeine I pretty much gave up. I tried caffeine free for a while but the sugar was still after me.
I drink about 2 a week, with lunch on Friday when me and a few of my coworkers go to lunch. Otherwise it is milk or water.
Guess I am getting old.

I'll do that. Nothing better than a perfect Pepper. Dr. Pepper Jelly Bellies FTW!
I once had a Coke product called Josta. Stuff kept me up all night. Killed me the next day...
