(newbie intro) I've been lurking for awhile and have made a couple tech posts, so I thought it's about time to properly introduce myself. My name is Tony, and I'm a union boilermaker out of local 667 in Winfield WV. I recently bought a '92 ETC for a work car and couldn't be happier with it. Anyhow, just thought I'd say hi.

I hope to hang on to mine for awhile. It had 95,000 miles on it when I bought it. hopefully it'll last another 100,000 or so. |

Tony | I did a lot of boiler work when I was working as a kid in a machine shop. Retubing mostly.

Hopefully over thanksgiving I'll get a chance to flush the cooling system. Does the 4.9 get the pellets or is that just a N* thing? Quote:

We fooled with that a little years ago when I was going through apprentice classes, but I haven't got the chance to do it on the job. I've worked mostly in power houses and everything welds to headers. Quote:

LOL. Thanks!
That too. | We rolled tubes using an air driven motor that was about the size and shape of a four cylinder VW beetle motor. It was a hell of a lot of hard dirty work. Some guys couldn't handle the enclosed space(claustrophobia). One guy kicked the sh!t out of my head and shoulders trying to get out. He got excited just because I shot a few sparks on him with a cutting torch. |

Fear of heights is another big one.
I like the variety of the work though. Every job I go on, I'm doing something different and working with different people. It helps keep things interesting. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
