Greatest car names of all time.

Jimmy's thread gave me this great idea, what are the greatest car names of all time?

Mine, in no specific order.

Silverado/Cheyenne/Scottsdale (Chevy full size trucks from '88-'98). They all had names that evoked thoughts of the old west and cowboys...great for an american full size truck.

Fleetwood
Brougham
Sixty Special (you just feel special riding in one of these)
Eldorado (the gilded one, again, using the "old west" theme)
Seville (great to use a european name for the most european Cadillac)
Electra
Riviera (sounds so silky smooth, just rolls of the tongue)
Toronado
Continental (makes it sound like it's built to cross the continent, which it was)
Imperial (just sounds majestic, big and important)
Silver Spur/Spirit
Corniche

And the list goes on, and on, and on.

Re: Greatest car names of all time.

I touched on this in Jimmy's thread.. as far as I'm concerned, Buick has always been great with developing model names... some fit the cars, some didn't... but I always felt that Buick understood the value of a good name and took the time to pick just the right one... Let's just take a look at some, these are BTW, listed in order of my favorite names (names, not necessarily actual cars) top to bottom:

The Roadmaster
The Regal
The Riviera
The Reatta (I think I like "r's"... lol)
The Wildcat
The Park Avenue
The Electra
The Gran Sport
The Grand National
The Somerset
The Invicta
The LeSabre
The Special
The Super
The Century
The Rainier
The Skylark
The Centurion

All great names as far as I'm concerned... there were only a few names that I didn't particularly like - The Apollo, the Rendezvous, the Skyhawk, the Terazza. But even the present models, the Lucerne, the LaCrosse, and the Enclave all have decent names.
