Cadillac Forums: how you can tell MAYBE you have been annoying the neighbors (richguy ownage)

I wasn't going to chime in but I have to agree with the above. You can't judge someone by their vehicle. I disliked it when people seemed to judge me when I was driving a new Escalade. It even seemed to attract trouble makers on occasion.

My guess is the the car owners could care less. A wave of the hand and the cars will all be replaced by morning. These guys redecorate their house and buy new furniture after a party rather than have a cleaning crew come in. Everything is disposable, including people, to the ultra rich. The vandalism was a totally wasted effort. Until you see with your own eyes how these people operate you can't begain to comprehend it.

That still doesn't justify destruction like that. Whoever did this should spend a few years in a cell.

I definitely wasn't trying to condone or excuse the vandalism. I was trying to make the point that it was a totally wasted effort because the victims don't care. Vandalism is a form of terrorism against property but if it doesn't damage the victim it's pointless. It'd be like pulling up the flowers in Bill Gates yard to protest Microsoft Windows; a waste of time barely annoying. You'll notice there's no smashed windshields, just spray paint. That'd probably get the perps a bullet in the head.
During the time the Trans Alaska pipeline was being proposed and studied a local guy was going around and spraying slogans on the "bunny huggers" cars. One example "Alaska for Alaskans, Yankee go home". After he was arrested in the parking lot of the courthouse by the troopers and brought before a judge all the judge had to say was, "Go get a can of water soluble paint and use a stencil so it's a neat job". The ACLU claims it's protected free speech.
