Printed out the Declaration of Independence early this morning, read it as a 'refresher course' , gave my 6 & 7 year old an idea of what the day really is about. In a neighborhood parade I made them say Happy Independence Day (instead of happy 4th of July). I had the pleasure to shake the hand of and give thanks to a young Marine in his dress blues. What a day, what a Country. |

I got to carry the U.S. Flag in a local parade today. What felt the greatest was hearing all the old veterans clapping when they saw the Flag. |

I love the United States of America.
I hope you all had a great day off.
Support your troops, both at home and
overseas.
God Bless your brave fighting men and
women, who keep the world free and make
it a better place. Moreover, screw the simplistic
unpatriotic domestic bastards who criticize you;
and, the multiplicity of international defence
freeloaders who have the opportunity to
flourish solely as a direct consequence of your
benevolent might and indomitable spirit.
Best Regards,
TomDeville  |

What a day, what a Country. | I remember something I read one time about a sailor in uniform; they look like they can handle anything from a beautiful girl or a lost puppy to a burning aircraft carrier.
