I was in Amsterdam last Monday at Queens Day. Has nothing to do with the band Queen! It's the day where the queen of Holland celebrates her birtday. Everywhere in Holland people are celebrating in the street and it's free market, so you can sell anything in the streets.
Amsterdam attracts a lot of people at that day. There's a lot of music and everybody dresses in orange.

We came into NYC one day from L.I. and accidently ended up having to cross some "coming out" anniversary parade. All I could think was, I hope they don't catch me on film.
About peeing: yes, lots of people pee in the streets or canals. That's why they place these mobile urinals in the street to keep it clean. Unfortunately where people drink lots of beer, they pee wherever they can...

Definately a day to visit Amsterdam! April 30th, except when this day is on a Sunday; then the celebration is on Saturday (No celebrations on Sunday for protestant people).
