Thumbs down Quiznos subs?

* Typo: That should have been Quiznos *

In the dear old UK we have *some* of the US food chains, ignoring the likes of McDonalds and sticking with sandwiches we have Subway and Quiznos.

Now, I'm a Subway fan, I like the choice of breads, the choice of salads, the fact I can get double meat or double cheese and the choice of sauce.
The mall near me doesn't have a Subway, it has a Quiznos.

So I figured I'd give it a go.

I ordered a Regular (about 6 inch?) sub of the Zingy Steak variety.

First off, no choice of bread, secondly no salad.

And third:
With a regular Coke they wanted £7.39 !!!!

That's $15 !!!!!!

So how much would that have been in the USA and are all Quiznos as ghetto as that with choice compared to Subway???

Re: Quizos subs?

Quiznos is pricey and their cheesesteaks are terribly gloppy. For a medium sandwich and a drink its about 8-10 bucks.

I recently discovered Trader Joes and make my own sandwiches now with premium meats and cheeses.

Re: Quizos subs?

I like Quiznos because they have more specialty type subs, and they toast them.Nothing like a toasted sub with bubbly cheese. Now,that said, NOTHING compares to Firehouse subs. I dont know if they have them everywhere, but they have a bunch in Central Florida. Best damn subs money can buy. Hook and Ladder combo. Its like $8.50,but so worth it.

Re: Quiznos subs?

Subway gives you the choice to toast your sub too. Plus on their reciepts you always get some kind of discount on your next purchase. I usually end up getting 2 foot longs for $8.99

Re: Quiznos subs?

I think Quiznos is glorified junk. I went 1 time, ordered, and took 2 maybe 3 bites, got up and put it in their garbage can.

My #1 Fav is SUBWAY .. The Veggi one on the crinkly bread with NO red ~HOT~ Jalapinos on it and "easy on" the black olives and NO cheese. (Not too sure it's really cheese?!?) That is good! Add chips and a soda, hmmm yummy. Try it.

Re: Quiznos subs?

I wanted to try Quiznos's Prime Rib sub but I guess from what I'm reading is DON'T DO IT! I do love subway, 1 six inch sub with turkey, ham, and cheese is around 3 bucks
