The more confident you are about yourself, the less you'll worry about what your man thinks of other women - especially one's he's never even seen or cares nothing about online.

Jealousy stems from insecurity. |

I'm a goth too, so, very nice to meet you.
I'm thinking you may be female, but I could be wrong.
In any case, thanks for the laugh!
So, what kind of goth are you? I ask because generations make a difference. I am old school 80's. An eldergoth. In other words, not a 16 year old kid who thinks Marilyn Manson is goth or that shopping at Hot Topic makes you a goth. Ugh. Back in the day we did not get our clothes from malls. We had to scour vintage clothing stores, and Salvation Armies, and cobble together our own outfits. It took a some effort and creativity. I don't really go to clubs much anymore, the scene has changed a lot (in what I feel is a very negative way, it used to be fun and playful, now it's more snobby posturing and evil -- I have no desire to hang out with people who wear fake fangs, think they really are vampires and who stage satanic rituals in their clubs as part of the evening's entertainment -- yes, such places do exist in NYC) and I'm also just not into smoky places and excess drinking. I did plenty of that from ages 17-22. I had my fun, and I had my fill.
I have toned down considerably. Once you reach your 30's you really do not have the time, energy or inclination to make sure you look like Morticia Addams before leaving the house. I also listen to all kinds of music. I'm not a narrow minded goth, it's just that is where my roots are, and between that, punk and new wave, it very much formed a lot of who I am today.
Thanks everyone for the welcomes. I was probably having a bad night last night, there were other things on my mind, sorry if I took anything that was said too seriously.
Now back to fun & games, and I promise I will post pics of the car soon. I haven't taken them yet. The weather has really been sucking lately. |
