Sorry guys,the ford is the better truck IMO!And the chevy red?how about 12 different shades of red in there.Overall appearance chevy.Everything else Ford.Lots of those guys running high 10's with a smaller pully. |

The old Lighting is not supercharged and it is slow.
The new Lighting is a totally different animal.
He is talking 93 to 95 lightings.
Not the current Mod motor supercharged ones.
High 10s with a smaller pulley!!!?? I laughed so hard I pissed myself. It takes a lot more than just a pulley for that.
Hell its take a lot more in a Terminator than a smaller puller to do that.
We are talking full bolt ons and at least a Kenne Bell to get to those numbers. Lots of cash.
Lightings are mid to low 13 second vehicles stock not to shabby, but in order to run 10's the pulley would be the size of a penny and with all that boost it would send a piston to the moon.
The bone stock 454 SS is slow too. Hell anything that isn't running low 13's high 12's now adays is slow.

I just found out that the 93-95 are not factory blown. I've seen tons of pictures of these trucks with blowers and assumed they were that way from the factory. I stand corrected.

Yep no supercharger until 99, The first S/C lightning ran very low 14's/high 13's, they got faster as time went along. The last years have been on the average mid 13 second vehicles, with a bunch going 13.10s-13.20s.
Hey I have had 5 f-bodies and you have to know what the other camp is running if you are going to run your mouth.  |

Blackout...but MINE, I built! 383 Super Commando from a '68 Plymouth Sport Fury. 385 HP. Bad ass truck that I wish I hadn't gotten rid of...but I DID replace it with the Challenger, so I can't REALLY complain.  |

Most Mustang or Ford folk for that matter like to put down the F Body/LS1 but I think that is just envy based. Unless they own a 03 or o4 Cobra that is! |

PSHAW, on the 4.6 SHOC mod motor GT...SLOW...
Envy based for sure, the new GT finally got 300 HP and at best is a mid to high 13 second car. My bone stock 01 Z28 went 12.92 at 110.02 mph, my 00 WS6 13.17 at 107.08 and my 98 13.22 at 106.42 mph. Ford can can keep their crap Mod motor, it sucks in the trucks too!
The 03/04 Cobra is a different story. |
