Occasionly, my radio, CD, and tape player (all three) won't come on, and the display screen remains blank, including the digital clock. The next time I drive the car, everything works for the next 2-3 weeks, then it'll be off again.

What are likely problems that would cause this occasional condition?

The car is in excellent shape, and has less than 30k miles. The problem started a few years back when it was around 20k miles. My dealer says they can't duplicate the problem, and suggests just living with it rather than going to the expense of pulling the dash to trace, or sending the car to a subcontractor for diagnosis.

Had the same problem once with my 02. The entire radio/CD thing freaked out. Did a million things, including an almost excorcist! Then for some reason it hit me.



I had the car running. Hit the white Onstar button, when she said, "Ready", I hit it again. She said "Goodbye", and it was all over and done with.

Some kind of elecronic gremlin I think.....
