I am starting to work on building a 65 Chevy C10. I bought a 76 Deville with a smogger 500 and am considering different options to get the power that I want. I am wondering if anyone knows if there is someone who makes a stroker kit for the 500. This is just one thought. I am also considering blowing or putting turbos on it. It seems pretty hard to find after market parts for the 500.

At the top it reads this forum is to discuss the old big block cadillac engines so in response to this stroker topic I will try to be informative.

There is a book called big inch cadillac by doc frohmader that is widely available whereas the 2.5 rod journals are offset ground to a 2.2 journal diameter wich is that of a big block chevy. chevy type eagle rods are then swung from the caddy crank with corrected compression hight ross pistons that ross now keeps in stock for these cadillac builds. You should get the book so you dont miss any of the important details such as journal filet radiuses,rod and bearing chamfers ect. For me 500 cheep cubes is big enough and a cost effective build to pull good numbers in a 3000 lb car.

Guess I missed something in the registration process. I am just trying to get some ideas on ways to get more than 190 hp out of this old Cad 500 engine.
