Hello,

I am wrapped up in a Cadillac restoration, one 1981 Seville V8, 6 L, 368 CID, here are all the history:

And I need comments and help for make a good engine restoration. My questions are:

- where is the problem? Perhaps in these coils that I suppose are the responsible to activate the system 8-6-4?

- are the problem in the Valve guide?

- I can work without these coils completely and take out it for do the system in perpetual V8?

- Somebody has manuals to leave the motor in perpetual V8?

Thanks for your comments

The solenoids will give no problems. Re-install them. 8/6/4 can be disabled by removal of the connection to transmission 3rd gear switch. See the archives on this site for complete explaination.
