help! I was driving home this morning...around 2am...and went over an average bump...but my car seemed to LOOSE POWER! my lights turned off, all interior lights turned off...everything OFF except the engine and steering and hazards and blinkers and corner lights! Whats going on? Car wont even click to start! I dont know whats going. There are no interior lights or speedometer or anything so I cant check codes. The only thing working is my "Security" blinking light, and my airbag light and oil light when i turn the key...

Car drove home (without lights or anything) normally for 20 minutes...no loss in engine or steering power...

Check the fuses, thats usually a good place to start. Make sure that they are all in tight, a bump might have jarred one loose.

LOOSE BATTERY CABLE! remove both, clean them and reinstall. Make sure no leakage from the positive side post. Very common on Delco batteries or whenever the wrong cable bolt is put in (too long) it breaks the battery case, causes it to leak and corrode.
