how many were made and through what years was the 81 to i guess 86 rwd coupe deville custom convertibles....

They were made from 80-85 (last year for the coupe), and the most popular was done by The Hess & Eisenhardt coach corporation, and it was called "Le Cabriolet." The conversion included a lined power top, refitted rear seat, functional quarter windows, and a snazzy hood ornament along with Le Cabriolet scripts on the quarters.

They did earlier ones, too. Probably around 1000 a year. They sell for around 15-25K in good condition. If you search ebay completed items for "Le Cabriolet" you will likely find some. Google will give you lots of info.
