I'm wondering about the grille on my 04 Villie and am leaning towards the billet insert not the replacement cause I like the chrome trim still around the grille but the mesh E&G grille is nicebut not 100% sold on it.
Now the real question...what about color matching and spraying the stock grille the same color as the car....mine is cashmere by the way?
just asking for some opinions...I think the mesh and billet would be more flashy and the painted stock would be more sporty but not sure.....

I like the mesh grille a lot and have been contemplating adding this to my DTS, but I don't dislike the stock grille so much that I'm willing to part with $600 yet! The only thing about using it on a base Deville is the hood ornament. I believe the mesh grille has an indentation for the logo and am not a fan of having the hood ornament with the grille ornament; it is overkill. I do agree the billet grille looks great on these cars and it goes well with the hood ornament. I also really like your idea of painting your stock grille to match the car. Would you keep the complete chrome surround with the Cashmere inside? How about the idea of finding a used DTS grille on Ebay and painting to match your car? Only thing is that I don't know if there is a hole or indentation for the grille ornament (to avoid that redundancy thing with the hood ornament). :D I really think any way would look great!

Then you need to get those chrome DTS rims to complete the package! Just enough mods to get you noticed but not too much to draw unwanted attention. ;)

Thats the grille i was talking about Ibmer. as faras the hood ornament i would remove it and put the emblem on there instead of the big ornament.

if you get the total replacement you do not have the chrome trim around the grille...the insert makes you modify your old grille but gives that chrome. Ibmer the one you suggested is different than both of these...I like the bigger trim piece up top on the one you linked.

I really like the grille in the top picture; very nice! Great idea for the hood ornament too! Smart to keep your stock grille as a back-up if you change your mind down the road. Keep us posted!

I like the E&G grills. I have one on my 99 Deville. It was only $479. I like big chrome things though. Not too fond of a sporty Deville unless it's a DTS.

I like this grille and almost linked this one too but didn't know if you would like the thicker bars or not. I like the E&G grilles and I think either one you choose would look good. Honestly if you bought a used grille and had it painted to match the car you'd probably have about as much invested.

You're making me think more about the mesh grille for mine now!

I like the dts grill the best, I may upgrade to one in the future and put a flat ornament on the hood

only thing I don't like about the vertical or the mesh or the other ones they got out for that matter is the thick upper cross piece.
I got my mesh grille finally last night at about 7 o'clock. I worked today and hope to put it on tomorrow morning if I get a chance. I also one a stock grille off ebay for 3 bucks! i want to paint it to match the car like DTS grilles just without the emblem. See what I like best. I messed around with Photoshop and did a mesh grille insert on the stock grille which I think looks better than all the grilles I have seen so I might try getting an insert and modifying the stock grille so that the top lip is small like i like.
