I'm looking to get a indash for my Caddy. Does anyone know of a real good one that I should get?

You mean, head unit?

Alpine and Pioneer are consistently decent. If you have an iPod, Alpine is best for HU controls. Kenwood has issues with eject and CD mechanisms. If you plan on installing an amp, consider Eclipse for its high power pre-outs.

Sony is great... for Yugos.

High power pre-outs mean jack shit?

Anyways what's your budget before I go suggestion flip-outs. Otherwise I'll suggest the Eclipse AVX5000 for its the prob the best one for SQ.

They take the load off the external amps. It matters.

No it doesn't, if you know how to set your gains it doesn't make a difference.

Now what features are you looking for? Processing, navigation, video playback? I think what I'm going to do is keep my cd5000 and get my kit molded to fit a flipout above the cd5000 so I can keep my processing.

Yes, it does matter. You get a cleaner, brighter, deeper, and more detailed output.

Less hiss, more bliss.
