There was a seller recently doing Bosch HID kits for a good price.....Bosch are the OEM kits and the packs etc are the same as the original equipment.

Don't buy those sub-standard China aftermarket eBay kits. They don't last for very long.

Go with a real OEM manufacturer.

Do not get the 6000K light bulbs for HID kits they produce much less light then the 4300K, and they are blue. Projectors create that vibrant blue look without the need of blue light. You will want the maximum amount of light on the road

4300K bulb makes 3200lumens of light.
6000K bulb makes 2300-2400lumens of light
so at this point you are just a little north of regular halogen bulbs that make around 1500-1700lumens of light. So it would be a waste of money to use a 6K kit.

i bought a set of hids this weekend. they should arrive sometime this week. i ended up going with 6000k. i looked at a bunch of different pictures and i decided i liked the look of 6000k better than 4300k even though the light output is less.

The first time i upgraded my lowbeams to HID, i got 5000K and I was satisfied with the performance. Then one of the bulb needed replacement and I thought I will go with the 6000K, I made a big mistake. I got used to the light out put that the 5000K emits. In my opinion 5000K is the way to go. Anyway, when you're driving it's what you see on the road matters not what others see when they look at your car. And besides, 6000K is more annoying to the car coming in front of you.

not my problem what the people coming at me see. it matters what i see.

the cut off on the projectors is fine for reducing glare on oncoming vehicles.

Does the 5000K make the light super white?

The 4300K is the one to go with max light out put and the projector will take care of the blue hue that you see when the vehicle is approaching you. So 5K looks best on reflectors becasue its forst white with a ever so slight hint of blue or purple. I have the 5K in my Neon and the 4300 OEM in the catera and the 5K sometimes seems brighter because its more of a buish whereas the catera almost seems a little on the yellow side. but the OEM ones put out more light down the road.

Where is the best place to get a good, quality 5000K kit?

5000K will not give you a very white light output on the road ahead. It's super white only when you just turned it on, just as with any other HID, then yellows a little once it warms up. But personally, if I have to buy another set, I would go for the 5000K, since 4300K is only available on OEM ones and not on conversion kits that are being sold around.

I guess I would go for a 5000K. Where did you get your HID kit AllenPacla?
