Does anyone know where I can find pictures or schematics of the NS complete with hoses. Tryn to learn the engine and as you know there is limited view with the hood up. don't have the cash to for a FS manual right now.

It was interesting to note that the new VVT Northstar has returned to premium fuel recommendation.

It's a 4.6N* VIN Y out of a 97 Deville.

The compression ratio is back up to 10:5:1 again. I'm pretty sure that what it is in my '99 STS.

I think they were 10.3:1 and lowered to 10:1 in 2000.

Have a 96 STS northstar 4.6L been running regular in it and it runs fine getting 24.5 miles per gallon. Engine has 95,000

The Northstar is equipped with a knock sensor and thus will run very well on regular. Use the search feature at the top of this page if you want more info on it.
