Ok guys, (dealers especially), I need some help sorting through some numbers on an '07 SRX V6 AWD lease.

Vehicle:
2007 Cadillac SRX V6

Options:
AWD
Luxury Package

Lease information:
10,000 mi/year
39 months

Financial:
$41,210.90 negotiated price
$595.00 acquisition fee
4.95% money factor
56% residual (thereabouts)
$2,355.00 tax, title, and registration
$399.00 processing fee
-$2,200.00 capitalized cost reduction incentive
-$1,249.00 GM Card earnings and bonus dollars

The payments are coming out to around $472/month.

Thoughts/Opinions?

The salesman has been extremely pleasant and answers all my e-mails very quickly. So that end of it has been great thus far. As this would be my first lease, I'm feeling a little out of my element.

THANKS

I don't know if this helps or is useless to you:

I have an 06 SRX AWD V8 w/ Ultraview/MRC/Third row/NAV/Diamond White upcharge (every option available except rear seat DVD). It listed in the neighborhood of 54K-55K. The term of my lease is less than yours at 27 months, and higher mileage at 12,000 miles per year. I pay $561/month. I paid nothing "down" except my first months payment plus about $200.00, so a total due at signing (including first month payment) of about $761.00.

So, with your V-6, GM card earnings and low mileage lease factored in, my gut says it seems like your payment should be lower than quoted.

Yeah, I have decided this info was useless to you - but I typed it, so here it is anyway.

What was your payment based on to be so low?

The numbers sound about right when I run your numbers through a lease calculator. I'm paying about the same with for an 06 RWD, lux pkg, DVD, no UV, 15K per year, 39 mos, GMS pricing, and no other incentives.

I just got my 07 SRX lease last week, here is my deal:

V6 Luxury Collection
-Luxury package
-Premium Seating Package
-Ultraview
-Rear Air
-Power adjust pedals
All Wheel Drive
Infrared premium paint
Wood Accented steering wheel and shift knob
Cashmere int.
Custom paint pin strip

Total MSRP $45,000

I was able through a friend that works for GM to get a GMS price. Now with the GMS price it is the same no matter what dealer you go through. I live in the Detroit area and was able to check this out with about 6 dealers, all came up with the same deal.

The GMS price was $40,195
minus the rebate of $2750
left it with total of $37445 to base the lease on

I put $6000 plus start ups $1395 that included 1st mon. registation fees, acq fees, plates and so on.

So with a total of My $7195 up front, I have a 24 month 18,000 mile/yr lease with 23 payments of $305/month. Now I understand most do not want to put that much up front, but if I wanted less up front, for every $1000 less down, it would have added about $40/month to my payment.

For me, I needed the 18000 miles/year, so the shorter term of 24 months works out better than the same money for a 36 month, 18000/yr lease.

Hope this helps a little,

Tom Wheeler

So you didn't even have to pay taxes and registration at signing?

What was your payment based on to be so low?

The registration was included in that approx. $200.00 figure (which after double checking was actually $275.00). Taxes were worked into the monthly lease price.

I ordered the car in June, 2006 from the factory. There were several incentives at the time because they were going to be changing over to 2007 model very shortly. They were not even sure i was going to be able to order a 2006 at first. I wanted a 2006 model because I needed a vehicle fast, and the extra incentives did not apply to 2007 models. I likely could not have gotten the identical deal ona 2007.

Here is a more apple to apples to your deal. In the Detroit area there is a auto industry newspaper called "Detroit Auto Scene". In this paper there are many ads for leases with employee type pricing. Again I have checked these prices out before I signed for my current leased 07.

Rinke Cadillac located across the street from the GM Tech Center in Warren, MI has a current ad for the SRX. The deal is as follows:

07 V6 AWD with Luxury Package and Sunroof.
GMS price, 24 month lease, 10,000 mile/yr, $2999 due at inception, security deposit waived, $359/month. The small print; plus title, tax and registration.

Now again if you can find someone who works for GM and can get you a GMS number, this price should be very close to the same and you can use your GMC earings toward the $2999 start ups.

In leased my Caddy from Crestview Cadillac in Rochester, Mi because they are closer to my home, but they had the same deal as above if I only needed 10,000 mile/year.

It pays to find someone who works for GM to get you the GMS number...

I ran the GMS numbers last night for his listed configuration and it came in at about $39.3K.

Someone ran the VIN and it came out to $40,860.69 for the supplier discount, which isn't that much lower than the negotiated price of $41,210.90

Is it $40,860 or $40,086? I thought supplier price was 2% over GMS, which would be $40,086. Then again, I may be wrong.

Are you kidding me?? I'm very grateful for any amount financial help. $350 is groceries for two and a half months!

My previous comment was just an observation. It wasn't meant to be dismissive of the discount.

Thanks again
