I am looking to replace my tires and found the OEM GY RS-A's and also recommened the GY Eagle GTII's. Anyone know of any difference between them? Also I have only 25,00 highway miles on the original set and they need replacing. What is the expected life in terms of milage for these tires? Seems like I should have gotten alittle more out of them.
Thanks

If your SRX has the 17" wheels, the best tire in my experience is the Goodyear Fortera TripleTred. I had the Triple Tred's on my last car I just sold; they had 50,000 miles on them and still showed almost half the tread left. I haven't been a big Goodyear fan prior to these tires, but I must say these really work in terms dry, wet, snow, good quite ride, and have a 80,000mile life. The only problem is that because of the Goodyear strike that ended just recently, the 235/65-17 fronts are backordered. The 255/60-17 rears are available from Tire Rack.
I just got a 07 SRX and picked the 17 wheels because the Triple Treds are made in the 17" sizes, but not the 18's or 20's. When they get them in stock, mid March, I'm having exchanging my 17's for chromes, and putting the Triple Tred's on them.

Tom, Good luck w/ that Truck! I love my N* AWD MRC '04!
Get the same 265/55-17" all around! I know some dealers say don't get them, but I did it (albeit w/ OE 18" rims) and no probs, great ride and if read my posts.....now I can ROTATE!!

That makes tires last! Good bye French rubber! hello Dunlap!!

p:

265? Really? You did not mean 255 all around? If so, I would really like to see what the 265s look like on the front.

I just bought a set of Continental Cross Contacts which are significantly cheaper than the Goodyears.
I have not installed them yet.

I have cross contacts... great price, no issues in about 10K miles (65K mile tire).
