My understanding is that there were some kind of suspension changes made to the 2006 V's to help address the excessive wheel hop. Is this true? If so what did they change? Also what are the pros and cons to the newer LS-2 motor vs. the LS-6. Thanks

They inserted hard bushings above and below the cradle bushings as factory equipment. The same bushings can be added to an earlier CTS-V under warranty.

As far as the motors, the LS2 is a little punchier down low, while the LS6 has better top end. Both run 0-60 and the 1/4 mile in about the same time.

06 and later come with beefier half shafts and the "improved" 06 rear end (a part that is put in all 04/05 replacements).

The suspension difference is only that they put the "cradle bushings" in at the factory.

I don't think that is right Reed. My 06 did not have the GM TSB bushings and the dealer told me that there was no way to insert the Spectre bushings becuase the cradle was redesigned a bit. James will know what they changed.
